Why Kennedy Street Recovery?

Who are Kennedy Street?

Kennedy Street helps people get into recovery from addiction so that they can lead positive, productive lives. We are a registered charity founded by Clare and Kevin Kennedy and supported by a team of volunteers. Together we have helped hundreds of addicts start their recovery journey.

Kennedy Street services

We offer a national 9am-9pm helpline manned by trained and empathetic staff, a text chat service and a variety of peer-led support services, including coaching, workshops and training.

Support us

We welcome support in many forms; from donations and fundraising to volunteering and professional partnerships. The people and organisations who help us do our work really make a difference to those seeking addiction recovery.

The Kennedy Street Recovery podcast

Conversations about recovery from addiction, its many forms and where to start on that path to recovery. Hosts Clare, Deli and Emma all bring a lot of insight and humour through their own lived experience and work to support those wanting to start their recovery journey.

Listen and subscribe on Apple, Google or Spotify.

Kevin Kennedy - The Addict's Guide

The Alcoholic – An Addicts Guide with Mr Kevin Kennedy

Kev gives us a tongue-in-cheek checklist of all the excuses an alcoholic uses when in the midst of addiction. He should know, they’re all from personal experience.

This film is about recognising and acknowledging addictive behaviours that can ruin lives. As Kev found himself, these excuses can be put into perspective, even laughed at, once your journey to recovery is started.
